I, Mikey, developed the Stitch is Right Game in 2016. Little did I know then that some stitch combinations I figured out would become future viral options for crocheters. It's now 2024, and some developments have changed that are completely technology-based. The game was taken offline a year or so ago.
Games like this are good ways to use up yarn you don't know what to do with.
The original game had spinning wheels that were programmed, but the technology to run them has become obsolete. What's a game without the spinning wheels!? A disaster, of course.
Since the game was taken down, I had to reimagine it so that a user could play it without being so reliant on technology. I couldn't help but think that dice are used in casinos and wondered how can the game be upgraded?

It takes a lot of effort to make a game, but this time, a real sample should be made before launching the game. I came up with new stitches but had to keep some old ones, as the texture doesn't work if there are no flat stitches.
It took several weeks in May 2024 and part of June 2024 to re-engineer the game. A game that could be played solo with the roll of a dice to make the game be unique. What the dice will turn up is anyone's guess.
Of course, people can cheat the dice or the colours, but sometimes, the dice may get something you don't want. You can let it control you, or you can re-roll again. You decide.

I started to play the game with the new formulas for the dice. I was able to find errors when one stitch may not transition into a new section seamlessly. I kept saying to myself, don't rush the process.
Yarnspirations asked for a project unique to The Crochet Crowd. I thought this was the exact moment to revive something popular in the past but with a new vibe.
I used Caron One Pound as my example, which isn't entirely done yet. Its look and flavour remind me of ice cream with a Neopolitan flavour.
The key to anything online is to keep things as free as possible. Testers have worked their magic to test me, and diagrams have been made.
Daniel is in the process of writing two eBooks for the game. This time around, you will have a choice of a straight-row sample or a chevron (wave) version.
It's currently on the design desk, and I hope to finish it within a few weeks.

This will be found on The Crochet Crowd once ready.
