Do you have a blanket pattern that you want to customize the item's width for?
I can help you figure out the stitch multiple so you can customize it. If I come back and tell you the stitch multiple is 20 chains + 4. This means you will chain in sets of 20. When you are happy with the width, add 4 more chains.

To figure out chain multiples, I need to physically draw the crochet diagram on graph paper, which takes a bit of time. I cannot just read a pattern and know. I am unable to get you information on changing clothing sizes.

$20 CDN (tax inclusive) to hire Mikey to get you the calculation. Supporting documents/crochet diagrams he will be drawing will not be submitted with the answer. He will provide you with the stitch multiple to customize.

Please know that when doing the starting chain, it can shrink by 20% upon the first pass across the 1st row. For example, 100 chains can compress to the look of 80 chains when crocheting across. Be sure to compensate for this when crocheting the first chain.
