Crochet the Simply Soft Shawl with a new re-write and crochet diagrams in 2025. This is an old pattern whereas the written instructions are tough to follow. To help illustrate it further, new diagrams were made with blown up photography of the sample as well.

I had leftover Caron Simply Soft so went looking for a pattern. This turns out really nicely and is nice in a solid or trimmed with a contrast like I did. It's a good size shawl and is very pretty. Great pattern.
As someone fairly new to crochet I thought I would try this pretty shawl but gave up when it did not seem to be working out so i gave up. I noticed the rewrite and had another go. I could see the pattern straight away and have made a good start

Over the past two years, I've made this shawl a dozen times for myself and the ladies in my family - a different color for each. It's easy to work up, and the finished product always looks beautiful. Last week, I made another for a lovely granddaughter-to-be in her favorite pale pink. It's my go-to shawl.
My daughter got married in December a few years ago and I was terrified to make this but this is what she wanted. Wish I could find a picture of her wearing it. Mikey’s pattern was easy to understand and while it pushed my level I was super proud of myself and everyone was impressed. His patterns are the only ones I have found I can successfully complete.
This pattern works up easily. I used sparkle yarn for the 1st two and fall colors for the 3rd. The border really makes this special.
