Easy one-ball crochet scarf utilizing lace-looking stitches but with #6 Bulky Weight Yarn. The popcorn stitches used create puffs of snowball-like shapes in the centre of the scarf.

For those paying close attention to the photography, the double crochet appears on the same row as the popcorn stitches, and the half double crochet is on the other row. That's an oversight during writing, BUT it won't affect the pattern, as the same amount of yarn is used.

During testing of this concept, I realized I couldn't do double crochet edging for both rows, as the centre popcorn and lace stitching would buckle.
