Crochet Little Buoy Bag Pattern
The Crochet Little Buoy Bag is designed for the Nova Scotia Crochet Adventure Tour. This is a ticketed event and crocheters on that trip will get this pattern and yarn as part of their package.
The pattern is 6 pages and has photography and large font print instructions to follow. I
This bag uses three regular-size balls of Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn. The bag is 6.5" x 6.5" and 9" tall. The bag has a Carabiner Clip that is put through the eyelets so you can attach the bag to something else, just like a backpack. There is a 6" x 6" stiff cardboard put inside the base to ensure the bottom doesn't lose it's buoy look as they are usually blocks of wood or styrofoam for the fishermen.

I got this pattern when I went on the NS Experience (and that was fantastic!). We saw many seaside towns and the buoys were everywhere so this is a nice souvenir. It's a good size bag, and several of us have added custom touches such as backpack straps or a grab handle. It's fun to make, uses cotton yarn which is pretty inexpensive and bright, and works up fairly quickly. I'm going to use them as gift bags, I made some in recipient's favorite colors so I really had fun with this pattern.
I finally finished my bag . Using the printed pattern and the video tutorial. I must after years of crochet Mikey
Showed me tips that I never knew.
I had fun making this bag while on the CC Nova Scotia trip in 2025. This is a useful little bag that I plan on utilizing when I go to the beach.
These buoy bags are so cute! I made two of them on the Nova Scotia trip. The pattern is easy to follow and allows for easy customization.
This will be my next project. I can’t wait to get started! Pattern is beautiful and looks easy to follow!
