Mikey's Preferred Crochet Hooks

For my first crochet hooks, I prefer generic hooks from Amazon. I find them inexpensive and easy to replace. They are longer than typical hooks, which prevents my larger crochet hook hand from getting calluses on the palm of my hand. I usually buy several kits simultaneously, as I seem to lose crochet hooks and don't understand where they go.
These generic hooks do the trick without branding or a major company behind them. Hooks don't need to be overcomplicated or crazy expensive, as our hobby requires a low investment in learning to see if you enjoy it.
I used 5 mm / H/8, 5.5 mm / I/9 and 4.5 mm / US 7 the most in the set.
Leave me a comment below on what your favourite crochet hooks are!
I will explain to you what makes it my first choice. Other hooks without a thumb indentation are too hard for me to use. With the thumb indentation, I can look away from my project as I know where the orientation of my hook is, using the thumb as my guide.
Everyone has their favourites; these are mine.

These are my favorite hooks as well. I have tried so many different brands and these are my go to. I don't even try others anymore. I gave all my other hooks away. I have 2 sets of these in case I lose a hook and I purchased the larger hook set as well. My only complaint is that the size stamp wears off but I found that I can write the size with a sharpie in a place that doesn't get a lot of wear and it stays.
