The Crochet Baby Blanket With Love was originally in The Crochet Crowd Book. Due to space constraints, we couldn't put everything we wanted into the book. This pattern has been revised, which includes more than one diagram; in fact, there are now 8 diagrams. Included with this 16-page pattern is a photographic tutorial on Jacob's ladder stitch to show you how to connect the loops without sewing them in.
This blanket uses Red Heart With Love and used a total of only four balls of yarn. Two balls of the colour stone, one ball of the colour white and one ball of the colour Wintergreen.
The blanket is 40" x 40" and is soft to the touch. Hook size is 5.5 mm / I/9.

I made the Baby Blanket with Love to challenge myself with something different, I spotted some yarn on sale and the colors gave me a 60's vibe with the pink and orange and yellow. I had a little trouble with learning, but as I just follow along without overthinking, it all came together beautifully and I think it's a winner. It would be beautiful in more low key colors as well, but I kind of like how this pops the little twists.
